“She’s about to pop!” Baby Shower

This baby shower is simple to put together and so cute! The refreshments are something that can be picked up from a grocery store and I’ve included a fun game and treat boxes you can make to send home with everyone.

My friend and I had the opportunity to plan a baby shower for a friend in our church. We decided on the theme “She’s about to pop!” with a popcorn bar and a soda bar. And of course lots of balloons!

Popcorn bar with scoop

For the popcorn bar, I just picked up some giant popcorn bags from the local grocery store and put it in a metal bucket from Walmart that I already had. I bought pet food scoops from the dollar store to serve and I already had these cute popcorn boxes.

My friend took care of the popcorn toppings. She put various candied in metal buckets so people could add whatever they wanted. We also set out popcorn sprinkles.

Soda bar set up with limes, lemons, ice and various sodas

For the soda bar, we put out pretty cups with an assortment of two liter sodas. We also included lemonade for those who don’t drink carbonated drinks. We used another metal bucket filled with ice and another pet food scoop from the dollar store. We also cut up fresh limes and lemons. To finish it off we had out various flavorings. I actually had these at my house already-we love a good Italian soda.

Bubble gum game. Who can blow the biggest bubble?

For the main game we let everyone pick as many gumballs as they wanted and then had a bubble blowing contest! Some women have a secret talent for blowing bubbles. It created a lot of giggles. For the winner, they received a foaming soap from Bath and Body Works.

Thanks for popping by!

As a thank you, I made these cute pillow boxes and put Pop Rocks candy inside with a tag that reads, “Thanks for POPPIN’ by!”.
