4th of July Bucket

This 4th of July Bucket is packed with patriotic themed items perfect for gift-giving or as a prize for a competition. We used it for a prize for a homemade ice cream competition.

For our neighborhood Ice Cream and Fireworks party my friend had the great idea to have a competition to see who could make the best homemade ice cream. And of course if there is a competition, there needs to be a prize, right? So I created this 4th of July bucket.

I knew what I wanted in it so I just headed over to the dollar store to pick up a bucket and items to go inside it. I picked red, white and blue candy packages along with sparklers and USA wands. Then I went to my Cricut Design app and pulled up the fireworks and stars images I thought would be the best. I loaded up my Cricut with red vinyl and started it cutting. I love how I can design it on my phone!

After cutting out the three colors, I pulled off the excess vinyl and put the fireworks on first centering it using transfer tape. I didn’t place it completely so that I could place the stars around the edges where I wanted them. I tucked the stars under the fireworks but I had to place the fireworks first because they were so large and they needed to be centered.

With that finished I just placed “Celebrate”.

I put some tissue paper in the bottom and added my goodies. I loved how the candy I picked out had red, white and blue to match the theme. For the final touch I added the USA sticks.

I love this 4th of July bucket because not only is it a quick craft but it would be perfect for a gift for a neighbor, friend or your grandkids. It would be easy to fill with their favorite goodies and leave on the porch!
